Funny thing, The aston martin vantage scam I posted a few months ago, was also a woman named maria going to spain

BlackZRoadster 09-06-2009 10:19 AM

^ do you still have the link lol

unit 09-06-2009 10:28 AM

when someone gives too much info in an ad, usually its an elaborate excuse.
like talking about your divorce, or when they want to buy your item because their only child went to university overseas and really wanted it as a bday present...

ilvtofu 09-06-2009 10:32 AM

LOL in the e-mail before she told me the car was automatic
But in the autotrader ad it was a manual
Also told me it was AWD...

Her reasoning

and ilvtofu's identity is revealed

ilvtofu 09-06-2009 10:41 AM

Lol it was revealed long ago in that thread
and on the RS group on stalkbook

BabyJane 09-06-2009 05:05 PM

you forgot to censor out your email address philip1019@live.ca in the 3rd email.

meh... this traveling excuse happens all the time. i wanted to rent a place in Richmond and the landlord was "traveling to Africa on a mission in the name of Jesus", then i wanted to buy a car and the woman (Brenda) who got it from her divorce settlement is located in Quebec and wanted to use the EBay Vehicle Protection Program.

notice how they're always "women" sellers/buyers.

You know what's bad is when you're selling stuff (local sale) and they say they'll forward you the funds from Africa, then ask you for your credit card # so they can stick the funds into your account.

It's so pointless posting these things... it's like saying I went to McDonald's and had a Big Mac.

There are ALWAYS scammers on Craigslist.

BlackZRoadster 09-07-2009 09:35 PM

^
so lets say mercedes makes a new E class and someone post about it, then maybe u will say, its' pointless posting these things, there are ALWAYS new models from cars.

or ppl posting riced out cars, there will ALWAYS be riced out cars

ilvtofu 09-07-2009 09:38 PM

The only things worth posting are free swag

If there's a new car model, then people can discuss about the new car model... if someone posts about a riced out car, then people can discuss about that particular riced out car...

But in this case, there is nothing to discuss about this particular scammer... there's nothing to differentiate this scammer apart from the thousands of other scammers on Craigslist. There's nothing unique about "Maria" or anything in the emails... it's your standard Craigslist scams that goes on day in and day out.

411ken 09-08-2009 10:48 AM

I swear, someone should go through this but in reality, send them a pile of crap or something....

When I used to work for ebay, I got all these ppl that got jacked for this.. I know it was stupid of them to go through it but also felt bad for them... someone's gotta teach these guys a lesson haha...

why is there nothing to discuss? we can discuss her stupidity in her contradictory lines, etc etc..

if there is nothing to discuss, there will be 0 replies to this thread, if you dont like me posting about scams, go pm a mod about it

There will never be 0 replies to any thread on RevScene, no matter how stupid or useless it is. :p

I never said I disliked you posting about Craigslist scams, nor is it something that should be reported to a mod... I'm just saying it's totally pointless posting about Craigslist scams.

BlackZRoadster 09-08-2009 09:04 PM

^ well its pointless to you but apparently its got quite some views and replies, so i guess there are ppl out there that are intersted in scams,
