My experiences have all been terrible.

Worst experience I had: Taking last Seabus from North Van at 1am. Arrives at Waterfront at 113. Last Canada Line leaves Waterfront at 115. It's impossible to make that connection. And then you're stranded. Someone at Translink thinks that's realistic. Try it sometime. The distance you have to walk makes it impossible.

hopefully all the bums go to richmond, then a tsunami sinks it. =)

Canada line isn't too bad since I've already saved some money by using it. I've went to downtown on several occasions via the skytrain instead of my car; saved some money on gas. I mean I have a upass so I might as well put it to use. All the stations have workers standing there checking to see if people purchased fares. Cops also have randomly boarded the train at a stop connecting richmond and vancouver to make sure nobody was causing trouble (could have been because someone pressed the silent alarm in the train?)

soon that will stop just like the regular expo line. i've been through the canada line since it opened to change the ticket vending machines and yes, for the first week someone was there checking at each station, but as the weeks progressed, they have been disappearing and only a few station had the attendants. sooner or later, like the expo line, they will most likely vanish from the large stations and go chill. or when a crapload of people come off the trains they vanish. i've caught a couple of them sleeping already in their little break rooms.

believe it or not, i've been told the canada line skytrain attendants make more than the expo line skytrain attendants, which i believe is at about $26/hr.

speaking of DAISO...

there's a place called Yokohama.. I think.. in Tinseltown... they sell pretty much the same stuff.

the stuff there is Japanese branded, but made in China.

HAHAHAHAH!!

I find the Canada Line to be much more crowded than I anticipated going in both directions. Also I really don't think the connections into Richmond are frequent enough, I know that the trains alternate between going to YVR and to Brighouse but 15mins per train really seems to long to be waiting.

lots of more whites in Richmond

Discuss. :p

single lanes half the time, the other half is 2 lanes, but they always have to merge back in b4 the next light anyway so dont see the point

seeing as how #3 is dt rmd i dont kno why they dont have ppl working on that road 24/7 to make sure its 100% asap?? instead they go and dig up #2 (and finish in like a week, while #3's taking 5 years?)

Do they really expect the C-lais of Richmond to take public transits? Them and their tanker MB vehicles.

God damn, I miss the No.3 when it wasn't modded into this riced up faggotry. God damn.

of course. at first they didn't believe me. kept telling me that the schedules were realistic. when I got hold of someone more senior and told him the details, I never heard back.

And then we all wonder why people don't like taking transit? I'll stick to my car.

vancouver's infrastructure needs improvement and the canada line is one of them..regardless of the consequences it brings. not everyone has a car... and its about time that we have some form of transportation to the airport OTHER than a car...

tiger_handheld 09-06-2009 10:51 PM

if each of the expo line sations only had 1 entrance like the canada line - you can have 1 attendant checking fairs all the time ... save on the turnstiles - and the employees will be actually earning their wage..

but places like stadium, scineworld, all have 2 entrances..

and the new expo platform at commercial - broadway will have 2 because of the rennos that have entrance to 10th ave.

btw canada line has many more attendants than skytrain because protrans is actually paid by translink based on customer service & performance.
