Everybody jump on the Bell Bandwagon!

SkinnyPupp 10-22-2009 06:58 PM

Why not? If your only choice is one of the worst carriers in the world, of course you're going to look forward to ANY alternative!

Neither do I. I want my HSPA MOTODROID nao, but I guess that can't happen.

I've also been using a different phone every day for the last four days just to see if it could be done, i.e. with everything synced. So far so good. :D N97 --> E71 --> E51 --> iPhone 2G no loss of info muahahaha!!!

...but same loss of signal in West Van. I want my HSPA Bell reception hahaha

The grass is not always greener on the other side, be it Bell, Telus, Rogers, and/or Wind.

SkinnyPupp 10-23-2009 01:26 AM

We don't know that yet, do we? It can't be much worse, and at the very least may give Rogers a reason to improve. Anything is better than a monopoly, or anything resembling one.

bcrdukes 10-23-2009 10:07 AM

I'm not sure where Rogers has to improve in terms of their network. As for customer service, there is no perfect customer service world and given 3rd party research companies, Fido tops it all in terms of customer service in Canada in the wireless industry.

As for Bell, Telus, and Wind, their 3G networks are all brand spanking new. We don't know how good their network is going to be but I know for one thing is that new networks take a while to clean up. Also, Telus and Bell have their fare share of bad customer service stories too and I'm sure that Wind will too.

Whether we like to accept it or not, Rogers is already in a good position because of Ted Rogers' legacy, they were ahead of the competition many years ago.

I don't think it matters when I've worked for Telus, Bell, Rogers, Fido and Wind. ;)

i needed to make a chart for something I'm working on. my head hurts :cry:
can someone verify that dave and wind are both going to be using aws? and bell/telus using 850/1900 for uplink and downlink?

+Kardboard+ 10-24-2009 07:27 PM

Wind = AWS
Dave = piggy-backing on Rogers, so 850/1900
Bell/Telus = 850/1900

Plus a review of the Telus New Chocolate! Did anyone get shivers from seeing the Telus boot screen? I did. :S

^^ Ugh that guy's voice makes me want to stab my ears with knives

And oh boy a rotating cube, I've never seen that before ;)

The narrowness of that phone makes it look pretty useless for video and photos

saiko 10-25-2009 12:11 AM

He sounded a bit like Bill Clinton!

+Kardboard+ 10-28-2009 10:44 AM

Rogers has the best comebacks. Wow.

In a conference call about the results Rogers President & CEO Nadir Mohamed spoke about the upcoming news that Bell and TELUS will be competing with them for iPhone market share in Canada. He stated that offering a new device isn’t enough…“I don’t think people should get confused: the idea that somebody announces that they have the technology of choice is very different from actually having a network that has the reliability and quality that we have.

*Cough* WHERE IS MY 3G *cough*.

willystyle 11-04-2009 09:01 PM

So any news with WIND?

Telus and Bell sucks.

+Kardboard+ 11-04-2009 09:04 PM

They're stuck. No WIND. They're appealing the CRTC's decision to bar them from operating, but nothing's gonna be decided for a long, long time.

G 11-04-2009 09:24 PM

So.... is there any chance rogers/fido/bell/telus will payout the rest of my gay plan with solo so i can switch? :P
