Panasonic Plasmas are the best put the smallest size for a Plasma would be 42 inch.

Can't go wrong with Samsung LCD's.

Samsung for LCD's, Panasonic for Plasma's. :)

I'm thinking between these too right now. I wonder which one is better since the price range is very close.

twitchyzero 09-10-2009 11:33 PM

^ neither
for $1000 you should be looking for ~$1200 120hz ones and try to bargain them down to your $1k or wait for a sale but you seem to want it asap

BMW135i 09-11-2009 09:46 PM

going to buy it tmr, i will try my best to bargin at futureshop see what they offer me. If not then i will go for the sony 40"

MelonBoy 09-11-2009 10:55 PM

Hey if your going to buy the tv, hit up best buy first and see if they got the same one for the same price.. OR price match it then give'em this

http://www.bestbuy.ca/marketing/sept..._special_promo

100 bucks off anything over 1000. or 20 bukcs off anyinthg under 999

lilaznviper 09-11-2009 11:20 PM

I'm running a 37" Vizio 1080P 120hz panel. I would've gone bigger, but 37 was the biggest I could fit without rolling my back windows down, on the drive back from California. I didn't want to take it out of the box, either.

Vizio's worth looking into. I was at Costco, Frys, Microcenter, etc. while I was on vacation, and I looked at the various displays in terms of colour reproduction, brightness, contrast, sharpness, etc. and Vizio was actually better than the Panasonic LCD, and had nicer tones than the Samsung it was beside, when I was looking.

If you've got a Costco membership, give them a look, since you get the extra year warranty free.

Bought 40" Samsung LCD HDTV today at futureshop. He gave me $100 off. Originally$1099.99 now $999.99 plus tax +envoirmental fee. So far i'm lovin it.
