Pretty much a coilover backed by 2 great companies.

arent they running total of $850-1000 if you get from the sites themselves. Not bad of a deal for a simple "coil over system"

I got em through Weksos in Cali shipped USPS and the HT special pricing which pretty much runs year round anyways. Going this route is 850-1000US from alot of the shops down there. Up here locally its about 1400. You can buy them form the Koni and GC themselves too but just more of a hassle. Never have to worry about sending the struts out and having to get them rebuilt and paying $$. Honestly I just hear so many stories where the Teins corrode at the threads and seize up or rocks and debris deform the threads as well making it impossible to remove. I guess it goes the same for all threaded shock combos but I hear alot of stories based on the Teins where this happens. BuddyClubs are made in Taiwan now and I've heard the quality tanked. On the other hand the higher end TEIN and KW set ups are very good. Reason why I chose my set up was because I have so many options with regards to adjustability and alot of track cars at HPDE's in the US run either a Koni/GC or Koni/H&R Combo.

Mugen_evolution - how much do you want to spend dood? i may know of a set of Ohlins for sale for your car ;)

Newer teins don't seem to rust as badly as the older ones, and i think anything lower than the Tein Flex is crap (especially considering the price of the Basic and SS, IMO of course).

I had H&R coilovers before and they're great for street use. Progressive spring which is still somewhat comfy combined with a great damper. I kinda miss those.

i don't think you can go wrong with German made suspension compared to most of the JDM crap out there.

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-17-2009 10:29 AM

how much for Ohlins, reason im on a trying to be cheap because i just spent a lot of money on my BBK lol, broke ass now.

:haha:

SS is crap, but i guess for street use its alrit

FLEX are decent but prices for flex is very high now, around $2500. friend has a set of flex in his ep3 and going over railroad in tat car i thought i needed neck support and almost snapped my neck in half

german goodness needs $ to play

i believe H&R is about $1500 cdn

Skunk2 Pro-C, but you are not going ot track it or anything so don't waste your money on such expensive coilovers.

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-21-2009 08:05 AM

so are u suggesting me to get skunk 2? or no because i dont track

how come skunk 2 is very popular in terms of all their products

BoS_DC2 09-21-2009 10:25 AM

KW V1, apparently the fixed damper rates are good for daily driving. Being height adjustable you can raise it for winter and it's got a full ss body so it won't rust.

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-21-2009 07:09 PM

would it be too soft or too hard since u cant adjust

DK33 09-21-2009 07:56 PM

Damn it Kevin pick one and buy it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mugen EvOlutioN 09-21-2009 08:01 PM

Skunk2 is popular mainly because they support their products with a great warranty, even if it's made in taiwan. They have been proven to work (well, motor stuff anyways), and their prices are reasonable for what you get.

Skunk2 = good bang for the buck.
