My phone died ..

phone:samusng i780
it froze on me sometime this morning so i decided to take the battery out and put it back in because the holding the power button didn't turn it off. however, after i put the battery back in the phone didn't turn back on and now it sits on my desk lifeless =(

im not sure if its something wrong with the battery, but i was planning on jumping on the bb-wagon anyway. my questions to you guys are:
- is there any way to recover information that was on my phone? ie. contacts, documents, etc
- where can i get replacement batteries?

now im using this pos motorolla from the pre-camera phone days lol so plz help!

so what happens when you attempt to turn it on? do you get a boot screen? sound? LED? anything? Or does it just do nothing? If it doesn't even enter bootloader, and it's not the battery, i think you're F-ed.

Anyways, since you're using winmo, and the phone comes with a microSD slot, there should be some of your information on the SD card (documents, email attachments, music, pictures, etc).

However, I doubt your contacts would be stored on the SDcard...do you have a backup of your contacts on the SIM card? Otherwise, you're going to have to figure out how to get it working without wiping the internal memory (otherwise, i'd suggest a hard reset)

nothing happens when i try to turn it on, as if there was no battery in it. but its weird cus it was in the charger the whole night before it froze.
i was thinking of bringing it to JP to see what they can do...but at this point it seems pretty bleak
fffffuuuuuuuuuu

I think JP checks phones for free, so you might as well bring it to him, after he tells you whats wrong and the price to fix it you'll have a better idea of whether or not to keep it.
