EB Games trade in? any info on EB games trade in? |
http://www.tivs.ca/ I don't know who runs the site. For current trade-in values it's best to call EB. There is one promo where trade 2 (game must be worth $8+) + $19.99 for NHL10. |

neksus from RFD handles the site |
mostly from personal experience eb likes to lowball but i like futureshop better |
their trade-ins are a fucking joke... I once bought a game and went to trade it in within a month and they offered me $20 for it. All other games range from .50-$10 on the average. they were going to give me .50 for rockband and guitar hero 3 about 6 months ago.. i passed. They have trade-in deals every once in a while when you can trade in 2-3 games and get a new one.. its eh. The thing that pisses me off the most is that they charge you $3 if you want the warrenty for a year. If your disc gets scratched they replace it. BUT what they really due is take your old disc, buff it and resell it which is fucking bullshit. Why should i have to pay 3 bucks? If you buy the warrenty and need the disc replaced, put the biggest scratch in it. I can't really say much cause i do buy from the store but i wouldnt if other retailers got their games on time. I think i'll start purchasing games from future shop or bestbuy now. |

i traded in a bunch of xbox360 games and wii games that were worth the shit on my boot. i got $160 bucks worth of credit ... more than if i had even tried selling them on the street. trust. sometimes their promos arent that bad. edit: and that trade just happened a few days ago. |
Been trading in games constantly over the past few years and thsi was covered in a previous thread some time ago but I'll repeat myself. EB used to be really bad when it came to trade in's. The prices were horrible which was why when I started I brought them to Blockbuster because they were total noobies with the whole trade in concept and gave really good values. However, after quite soem time of owning themselves they have finally caught on and have dropped their values quite a bit. At the same time EB games has brought their values back up. They are actually fairly decent now and especially with so much competition from Blockbuster, Futureshop, and Roger Video. In addition the EB promos are pretty good. Especially the trade 3 games in with $8+ value for a new game. Just go on RFD and you'll see. There are so many people who go to Blockbuster or other places and buy 3 crappy games for nothing and bring them to EB and get a name game for like $20-$30. Yes, of course this requires work and for me personaly I'm not the type to drive around to different locations to buy a crappy game just to save myself money but if your down the option is clearly there for you. |

usually games that are 3 month old or less is $37 unless there was a big promo and people are hoarding them for trade ins |
reminds me of that time I went in with NHL 08 brand new sealed and it was a new release I got 15 bucks towards forza 2 :( |
^ I wouldn't do straight up trades like that ... it seems that their promos for trade ins are much better. |
trade 3 games worth $3 or more each, get $3 extra per game. trade 4 games, $4. trade 5, $5. approximately. |
hey does anyone know where the general pricing list is for Futureshop? edit: nvm looks to be the same list as above. |
