It's really the owning part that is a pain, We had a W203 C240, spark plug wires sucked, shock absorbers leaked, sunroof sucked, lightbulbs sucked (i'm talking about burn out every 5000km or so...), electronics overall sucked (transmission wouldn't upshift out of first gear when the battery was low WTFBBQ?!?!?!) fuel economy sucked (approx 15L/100km under very smooth driving) heck even the spring that holds up the trunk decided to break, also the A/C decided to break ($3000...didn't bother fixing) and yeah all within 70,000km... Just 2 or 3 weeks ago, came back from a 3 day roadtrip to seattle, and our GL320 CDI... I love driving that car, and fuel economy is incredible, the ride is smooth, car is spacious, and tons of torque for towing, Initial quality would probably be way up there. But Suspension decided to leak on us (fucken airmatic, 10 years and they still can't perfect it...) So we ended up limping our way home http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3493/...a49136c1e0.jpg The one on the right would be us, we took 2 cars so yeah... Oh and just to add insult to injury, mercedes service department in vancouver is crap, treat you like shit, and richmond takes forever, We sat at the richmond shop for about 2 hours, just waiting, seriously it's warranty work, take our car and let us go with a courtesy GOSH it's not that hard... Don't forget to factor in some of the worst resale values out their for import sedans. The diesels are a bit better i guess. |
dont insult my injury |
that front lip addition is nasty... the car itself is so clean, and then you add somethin like that to throw it all out the window... on another note, last week I was driving and had just passed into the Alberta border on the highway doin 130 in a 90 zone... I get out of a tunnel and over a hill and.... BAM ! a whole squadron of cops in a rest area with just a load of modified cars all pulled over, so I ended up right next to another young Richmondite with his 2 lady friends in a white 2009 M3 with newer style mesh wheels flat black spokes and chrome lip..... anyway he got let go ahead of me, had a sick sounding exhaust.... that's the nicest M3 I've seen in Vancouver.... |
^where you pulled over too? O.O |
haha supa no M power =P Yesterday when my car was at the show, I got to drive my freidns 135 chipped with 335 ECU and a lot more like blowup valve and everything! That car is freaking fast... but I hate the steering wheel, its soooo stiff VS my W204... also The service department at Broadway sucks... But the richmond one is really good if you know them... i always request better cars for courtsey... and I have gotten stuff like a clk550 convert, C350, E350, and even a S550 once |
