My first wedding

Well this is rather late, as the wedding was back in early june, I just haven't uploaded them till now. It was one of those scorching hot 35'c outdoor affairs with a lot of cool locations, unfortunately all in direct sunlight :( I went at it as best as I could, I think it turned out pretty decent for my first time.

I'll post a few:

1, 4, 6 rock!

77civic1200 09-13-2009 08:48 PM

Thanks guys, 6 was a fun shot, glad I had my fisheye for that one. The car is her dads, so they wanted to incorporate it into some shots which was a cool, its a neat prop.

Darkness - it depends what photo you are looking at, I took a LOT of gear as it was on a little island and I had very little info on the place. I used a 30D and a 5D, and a combination of a 50mm, 85mm, 17-50mm, 50-500mm, 16mmfisheye, 35-70zeiss. I also used all my lighting gear, 4 flashes and enough stands/umbrellas to mount them. It was quite ridiculous =)

Mananetwork 09-14-2009 10:39 AM

Did you use a flash in the car? I'm really surprised everything in the car was in the same stop at the outside light!!!

nice work man! #1 and #6 are epic!

77civic1200 09-14-2009 02:26 PM

Yep all the shots with the car had flash involved. Number 6 I had umbrellas tucked right up to the windows/B pillars. Juuuust out of frame, but close enough to get the light spread wide enough for the fisheye. My brother was a groomsman (top photo) so I had him moving my lights around, very handy.

Great work, especially since you were lugging all that gear during the heat wave.

Senna4ever 09-14-2009 08:08 PM

Not bad, not bad at all. #6 is great...10-22?

peazs 09-14-2009 10:59 PM

nice kyle :)
#1 - are the details lost near the middle? i can see the buttons and the left guys' arm as that is lit, but how about the rest? maybe i need to recalibrate :\

Senna4ever 09-14-2009 11:09 PM

Was that Mayne Island? I swear I've seen that rock formation there.

77civic1200 09-15-2009 06:05 AM

-16mm zenitar on the 5D

- I did go high contrast on purpose, but I can't remember how much detail is in the bottom half, I am probably more blind than you right now, im using an eeepc until I set up my main computer ha ha
