You obviously care enough to make a post for it. Why don't you take your own advice and if you don't like the replies, just stay out of the thread.

On a more related note to this thread, while typing this reply which took me maybe 20 seconds, probably over 1000 people died and I am sure some of them go to school as well. Again, WHO FUCKING CARES.

Deaths affect people in different ways. Some touch you, others just make you say 'wow' and others, well, are so common (africa) that you become numb to it.

The fact that this happened in a nice town and at a school such as Yale, does stand out.
No offense, but you're full of it because according to you, because death is all around us, we should just simply not care. You're not cold blooded, you're just uneducated on this matter because you've probably never lost someone of great importance and if you did I'm sure you wouldn't want people to go 'who the fuck cares'.

Honestly, You could have just said nothing, which would have been a lot more mature than what you did say.

If your mother died tomorrow, God forbid, you wouldn't have the not-give-a-fuck attitude and you wouldn't want others to have it either. It's human nature to want others to sympathize with you. If you don't sympathize, the mature thing to do would be to not say anything as I'm sure you wouldn't voice such a harsh opinion IRL.

In conclusion, sometimes not saying anything, is the smartest thing. :)

superdennis 09-14-2009 08:56 PM

man, some of you guys on RS are total douche bags... you know who you are...

yeah, none of us may not know this person...

what if one of your loved ones is missing? (your mom, aunt, sister, brother, fiance... wouldn't you want a story out there so people can help?

its not about bragging on the news... its for people who may have seen something that can solve this case.

so if you dont care, dont post. people make posts about their cars going missing, i dont see people say "who gives a fuck?"

91LS-VTak 09-14-2009 09:14 PM

^^^

If someone's car is missing we can keep our eyes open and maybe see it. I seriously doubt anyone on here is gonna solve a murder case while sitting behind their computer.

Actually, my mother passed away when 13 years ago and I really do not need anyone to give any RIP bullshit for it. What has happened has happened, it was unfortunate yes, but life is given and life is taken. I have learned from it and whatever I do or say can't change the fact that she is dead, and whatever you do can't either. So really, the only people who should give a fuck are those who knew her and not some random stranger on the internet.

Death is all around us, this chick was just some yale student who got murdered. Did you know this girl? Has this death effected your life in any means? What makes this girl more special than the starving kid who died from no water in Africa? Is it because this girl went to Yale and the starving kid did not so it makes this girl better?

About 250,000 - 300,000 die a day, do you cry for each one? Do you RIP for each one? Sure, maybe half of those are just from old age or whatever, but at least minimum 5,000 would be from murders or some other sad shit just as worse as this Annie Le. If this simple murder makes you sad, I can only wonder how weak you must be.

And yes, I am pretty vocal about it. When I hear my friends say "Oh man, I heard that someone died, RIP" I will always question them and say what I think.

StylinRed 09-15-2009 12:08 AM

she probably pissed someone off really badly

Jackwimmer 09-15-2009 07:47 AM

there's rumours that it was one of the professors!
WOW

SumAznGuy 09-15-2009 09:06 AM

The news said her body was stuffed inside a wall. HTF does one stuff a body inside a wall?

If I was to venture a guess, I would say love triangle. Someone who loves asian midget porn wanted her but she was getting married. Lomac, where were you on the night she went missing?

What_the? 09-15-2009 09:27 AM

if it really was that lab tech that did it, hopefully they find the evidence to convict him... so at least justice is served...

I never said that she's somehow more special than the other thousands of people that die each day. I said that just because thousands die, it doesn't mean we can't mourn the loss of someone. It's pretty clear to me that you're failing to see the point.

You fail to see that you shouldn't have said shit and if you don't give a damn, which is perfectly okay, you can't expect everyone to mourn every death , just as you said.. you shouldn't say anything. Why? BECAUSE IT's FUCKING RUDE. You need to learn some manners.

Again, we know that people die each day, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't stop and mourn their deaths. So keep your little tough-guy act to your self.
And you might be vocal about it to your friends, but I'm not your friend and you sure as fuck wouldn't be vocal about it if I was mourning someone's death if you didn't know me.

No one gives a fuck that you have a 'don't give a shit' attitude. It's okay to try and not mourn anyone, you don't feel anything for this girl? That's okay, you can't feel sad for everyone, but have the courtesy to shut the fuck up because others might feel something.

Cheers.

Oh and as far as ' my mother passed away when 13 years ago and I really do not need anyone to give any RIP bullshit for it' goes... no one said you fucking need it, all we're saying is, You wouldn't fucking like it if someone goes to your mothers funeral and says 'who gives a fuck, people die everyday'. It's pretty much what you did.
If you're a man, you'll admit your fault. Period. And I'll gladly accept your apology.

cunninglinguist 09-15-2009 10:17 AM

I get the feeling there's something this person knows that led to her death...maybe a trade secret or something.

The7even 09-15-2009 10:50 AM

I hope they find whoever did it :(

Solly couldn't help it. Flame on

Tough guy act? It's called reality buddy. I can only imagine the sheltered life you must live in if you would want to take the time to mourn such a simple murder that has not changed your life in any way.

Maybe you should create your own forum, where everyone can care about every spiritual soul on the planet, and can post a thread each day mourning the loss of everyone who died that day, you are a real saint.

If you think a random online post informing people that some chick is dead constitutes as the same "respect" as a funeral, then you are more pathetic than I thought. If you really want to respect this chick, why not actually GO to her funeral then and say a couple words to her family and friends.

Unless you actually knew this girl or this death has impacted your life immensely, there is really no reason to cry over spilled milk. Cruel, maybe, the harshness of life, yes.

Cuz you moved on already, it happened 13 years ago. Your grandma was ready to leave this earth, where as this girl was getting married and starting her family with someone who loved her.

Feel some remorse or compaction for another human being who's lost his fiance/wife. God forbid if you have a son or daughter who've been murdered and I come by and say, "Who gives a fuck, just have another one!"

I understand where you are coming from, and I am sure if I knew this chick personally or was an acquaintance then my attitude would change. If she was a friend's friend, then sure, I would be sad and feel some compassion and if she was local, I would probably go to her funeral. But the important fact is, I didn't know who she was before she died. So in reality, as harsh as it is, her death has no affect on my life whatsoever and I am pretty sure (not positive) has no affect on anyone else here. Sure it was sad that she died, but it's not like she was the first murdered girl ever.

Would you feel the same remorse or compassion if I made a post saying some guy in the Republic of Congo was murdered? Would you give a nice little three letter acronym?

So if I do a search on this site, will I see you say "RIP" in any of the other death threads?

Obviously not everyone feels the same way you do since there are a few people on RS who disagree with you, as well as all the times the flags are at half mast to honor someone who has died.

But since you mentioned it, sorry about your mom passing away. RIP.

I know you don't care because it hasn't effected your life in anyway, but was this person of any importance before they died? Ya they were!

About the guy in the Congo, was his wife about to give birth? Was he to graduate and become the smartest man in the Republic of Congo? Or was he a just a farmer who looked at a baboon the wrong way?

So basically you are saying that someone with "importance" should be given respect if they died, but some farmer in Congo does not get the same respect?

And they say i'm the asshole!

not to disrespect, but is this thread created because she was of chinese / oriental ethnicity? and a lot of peeps here are of the same ethnicity?

Straight up, you dont have to give two cents about the death of her, and i could care less if you do or not, but just the fact that the image and words put out were disrespectful regardless.

As for me, i wasn't even gonna post anything as it doesn't really affect me, i read it because its an interesting read but if you dont feel the same, why dont u just let it be, esp. if its about someones death.

Hell you could even say "pointless thread" and it wouldn't mean as much as saying "WHO THE FUCK CARES..." cause the fact that SOMEONE OUT THERE does.

Everyone plays an "important" role in their life. My condolences go out to you for your mom. Now what about your dad, I feel bad for what he had to go through. It's hard losing a person no matter who it is. What this really comes down to is respect. I think once you get to know the person a little and what they did in life and how many people he's effected, it's not hard to say some condolences - or better yet said nothing at all.
