Windows live messenger I was using the older version of messenger and received the message I had to upgrade yesterday. I did the upgrading and now I can't log into msn and receive a message saying "Windows Live Communications Platform has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" how do I fix this please? thanks :) |

Windows live messenger 14.0 is a piece of crap. Eventually I had to upgrade. 8.5 was the best! |
im still on the old 8.5 but i know i will have to update later on but still 8.5 FTW for now... |
there were some posts that said not to delete kernel32.dll so I didn't but I sent in a request for help from windows so we'll see if they reply. thanks hotong, you're the only one who posted something that helped and not just saying you like the old version better :p |
is there a way to avoid the mandatory update? |
why not just move the file to say your desktop, if it works, sweet, if not, put it back. |

still on 8.5 |
Still on 8.5 because I use a-patch to clean up away the ads and extra crap to make it look clean. I do notice though that my webcam feature doesn't always work as it says that my webcam is in use but it really isn't being used. Anyone else have this problem? Please help, I can't webcam with paid girls from Russia! |

Read this official Messenger blog, they have possible solutions and methods of diagnosis to determine the problem: http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/ |
