If I check my gmail a lot, should I stick with my ipjone 3G or go for HTC dream Hi there Can someone here tell me the pros and cons of using a HTC Dream phone ? |
EDIT: Removed NWS content |
I'd say stick with the iPhone. The Dream runs Android, which is great, but as a phone it's pretty crummy, especially in terms of RAM. The Magic is a better choice here. Compared to the iPhone, I'd say the most obvious con is the graphics processing power. |
Cause we need graphics processing power on our cell phones. xD I've never used an iPhone (1st-gen, 3G, or 3G S) but from what I've read, iPhones have less laggy interface in general, compared to the G1/Dream and most early Android phones. If you just check your email often, then stick with your iPhone, but if you reply often as well, you'll find yourself wishing for a hardware keyboard. Then again, if you get the Dream, you'll find yourself wishing for more RAM. |
iPhone for sure, personally for me the gmail on the iPhone runs great better than any mobile email platform like Hotmail Mobile |
Hmm go with what you're most comfortable typing on. Dream pros: Hardware keyboard Push gmail Better google talk integration (if you use it) Different roms to try when you get bored Dream cons: Bigger Battery sucks balls Screen isn't as nice Everything else outside of gmail/gtalk, isn't as good as the iPhone I've had all 3, Dream, iPhone 3G, and now i'm using a Magic. I use google talk a lot so i love my magic, but typing on it just isn't up to iPhone standards. However, I did quite like the hardware keyboard on the Dream. |
I would do iphone, the e-mail application for the iphone is the best.. hands down iphone is the best phone out there. |
^^ you sound like a big iphone fanboi I came up with a couple more, for big gmail fanatics Ability to see labels, mark items read, archive easily...and how did I miss this one, threaded conversations. But then I missed the fact you have an iPhone so it really comes down to how much you're gonna get a dream for. I'd keep your iPhone imo... I did and I still use it occasionally. |
Many thanks for your input and since I am getting old and prefer to have larger screen, so I think I will stick around with my current iphone. |
