Anyone work for a distribution company?

My family friends in Brazil has a full-line of peanut products and organic coffee beans that are currently being exported to Japan, Chile, Colombia, and I believe the UK. I'm not very familiar with how international trade works (Finance major) and would like to know what's the most effective way to penetrate the Canadian market. Would it be best to physically go to local grocery chains and advertise and promote the goods or would going to a foods distribution company be the best option? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You will most likely want a broker that can represent you. They will have the expertise, experience, and contacts that will help you penetrate the Canadian market. A broker that comes to mind is Indigo: http://www.indigomarketing.bc.ca/

Where do you see your family friend's products being retailed here in our local market? Superstore? Safeway? Whole Foods?
