uh drinking your own urine actually gives protein? i thought it contains waste.

This should be an interesting fight, and Mayweather never lost a fight

G-spec 09-18-2009 06:00 PM

lol @ Mayweather, only hood brothaz put baby oil all over their abs, hahah, this dude is straight hood, I love it!

if UFC fighters only had half the skills of a fighter like Mayweather I'd watch a lot more of UFC...

and what, Marquez is drinking his own piss ?? gross, piss is almost 100% waste, at least shit has some useful stuff.... you want protein, go grab a fckin protein bar you idiot

TripleXXX 09-18-2009 06:13 PM

You got to have extreme speed to beat Mayweather.

+1

its sad to see boxing is a dying sport.. its a lot more rhythm and not as fast as mma which is why people prefer mma i guess.. i dont even think half the tapout boys even know what a triangle is. people just watch it for the knockouts *cough* lesnar *cough*

mayweather is gonna win 100% cuz they need to set up the pacquiao mayweather super fight to save the game

MR_BIGGS 09-19-2009 12:25 PM

I don't really follow boxing, but with a Mayweather win, could this be a precursor to a Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao fight?

Jet 09-19-2009 12:49 PM

It sucks that there are very few place showing the fight tonight ...

I'm not too sure who I want to win, I want Mayweather to get his ass kicked but JMM I want to shut up as well ... it's a fight with 2 counterpunchers so I'm hoping its not going to have more running that a bunch of Kenyan marathon runners ...

Can't believe he came in at 2 lbs overweight ... that's very unlike him, especially since he now has to pay JMM some money ... he needs it for the IRS :P

Ill have to disagree with you there. If you mean only boxing skills, then sure. But since you are comparing, UFC to boxing, its apple to oranges. Top tier MMA fighters have incredible all around skills and conditioning that Mayweather could only hope to have.

But anywho, ^^ seems like summer have gotten all the fighters fat. 3 UFC fighters came in overweight yesterday as well, including Vitor Belfort.

yes I mean boxing skills I thought it'd be pretty obvious since we all know you can't do anything else but punch in boxing, but to be more specific I mean the following

-hand speed & timing along with accuracy
-defense & ability to bob and weave to avoid punches
-footwork & ability to set up combos and various punches

nobody in MMA is even close in the above departments to Mayweather

all around skills, yes sure... but all that's left from that list I got above for MMA guys is ground game/grappling, and kicking, and Mayweather obviously has none of those....
now as far as conditioning, you're not familiar with Mayweather at all if you think any MMA fighter out there has "superior" conditioning to Floyd... he is well known for always being in top notch form

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44xjuFRwpMM

shit even Roy Jones JR's conditioning regiment would eat up any current MMA fighter, Jones used to shadow box at the bottom of the swimming pool and still punch faster than normal people.... I've actually heard talk that Anderson Silva wants to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match.... now as good as Silva is, he wouldn't stand a chance against Jones even now after Jones has retired....

here's a quote from Silva's manager

"“We respect Jones’ boxing ability and think he’s one of the best,” said Soares, “but we’re tired of different boxers saying that MMA fighters aren’t technical. Anderson would love to fight Roy Jones in a boxing match under boxing rules to prove that MMA fighters are technical, too.”"

^^Exactly my point. MMA and boxing are two different sports. Cant compare the two. True, no one is close to Mayweather in the boxing department, because there is no need to in MMA. Therefore, you will probably never watch "more" of UFC then. Youll have to develope a whole new love for appreciating the art of MMA all together.

Once again, the video that you posted is boxing training oriented. No doubt it is difficult and keeps mayweather in top notch condition. "Superior" one dimension conditioning...

It is hard to judge conditioning when you are only in the ring for 12 2 min
rounds and only have to worry about your head and body getting hit; as suppose to 5, 5 minute rounds, while distributing your weight equally, having to worry about wrestling, takedowns, clinches, knees, kicks, submissions etc...and all using 4oz gloves.

IMO, i dont think mayweather will be able to keep up with this kind of traning:

SkinnyPupp 09-21-2009 06:56 AM

God and I thought 3 round boring MMA fights were boring. How about a 12 round boring boxing match? What a fucking waste of time.

411ken 09-21-2009 07:24 AM

My boy Pacquiao will take care of this guy....

War Pacquiao!!!!!!

The way he picks his fights, no one will beat him, he always dodges fights that he knows has a good chance of knocking his ass out ...

It's funny how Mosley called him out during the post fight interview ... he's been ducking Mosley for the good part of 7-8 years now, probably will finally fight him when Mosley is older and slower ... He also ducked Cotto for a while too ...

It's funny how Roach said that out of the 3 people I just mentioned, Pac's easiest fight would be against Mayweather and Roach is rarely wrong, the dude is the Ross Brawn of boxing, his tactics and planning is crazy and having Pac as the tool who executes each plan exactly as Roach wants it to go ... when Pac destroys Cotto on Nov 14, let's see who he will fight next ...

hotjoint 09-23-2009 06:39 AM

Mayweather vs pacman will be epic if it ever happens
