Image software for site/blog?
 

i'm looking for software or the techniques used where you see images on the web where you can hover your cursor(or click) and the detail or section of that image will expand for better viewing, similar to this:

i've seen WordPress plugins that convert highlighted text into an image when you hover your cursor, but not what i'm quite looking for. pretty much the example in that link is what i want.

It's not image software. It's a dynamic tooltip driven by javascripts. Similar to that of this found here.

This can be done via ImageMaps too, in DreamWeaver or FrontPage but the thing is, that method is very oldschool and not very semantic.
