Resume Question My past experiences are labour or engineering kind of jobs.. i currently have a full time job but would like to work in gas station/rogers video or something similar... since my past experience is not really related to anything which im going to apply. Do they usually care what's on resume ? Is it even appropriate to put those un-related experience on the resume ? |
Well, it's good to have your work experiences on there and list the dates. It'll show that you are capable of holding a job and not sit around milking EI or something rather. Back in the day, I used to work for Petro Canada. The owner of that station just hired me on the spot. And then at Rogers, I was too over qualified. Anyways, I would try and include something where you dealt with customers. Even if its volunteer. |
It's really a yes and no answer. I mean you wouldn't apply in this case with a blank resume. Preemo pretty much pointed everything out already though. Even though these past experiences aren't related it would show that you can hold a job down assuming the dates you put on there for every job isn't like a few months. Also even though the job it self isn't related in any way it doesn't mean stuff you did within the job isn't related like Customer Service for example is attatched to sooooo many jobs. |
thanks guys ... i should go hand in my resumes |
your resume should have no errors and the best is to use a creative format |
