ASI bodykit for Ferrari 458 Italia

Japan’s ASI Ready To Take On The Ferrari 458 Italia
By Viknesh Vijayenthiran, Author, September 24th, 2009

Japanese luxury tuner ASI is renowned for its work with Bentley Continentals, but now the company has undertaken one of its most daring projects based on Ferrari’s upcoming 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia supercar.

The new bodykit from ASI gives the Ferrari some bold new looks and marries the two worlds of Japanese tuner cars and Italian exotica. According to ASI, the aerodynamic performance of the new bodykit matches that of the 458’s original design, but more importantly the new kit will be several pounds lighter than the stock version.

Some of the mods include a new front bumper with new air intakes which completely transforms the face of the 458 and shows some resemblance to the car it replaces, the F430. One of the designs of the ASI Ferrari 458 Italia also features two air vents on the side of the front fenders as well as a pair of new side skirts.

No word yet on any performance upgrades but if ASI’s past work with Ferrari is anything to go by then we should be some exciting power up mods very soon.

Additionally, ASI is working on some new parts for the F430, including a dry carbon rear wing set to arrive later this month along with a front brake system. Next month, diffuser fins and an ASI center-tip exhaust system that is compatible with the bodykit will be available and later this year we will see the launch of custom 19-inch forged alloy wheels.

looks so photoshopped. But it's kind of nice. only concern is how well will the rear wing blend in with the hot italia design body. With this kind of rolling Italian sculpture under it a simple GT wing simply won't cut it.

The front looks very nice, but has all of the aero-work that Ferrari did for the stcok car gone to waste? I wonder...
