Fitting SP3 and IE8 into old XP iso?

I need to backup my old winxp with SP2/IE6. Creating an ISO image is not
difficult, but how do I incorporate SP3, IE8, and other windows update into
the CD?

It doesn't seem like my winxp key can be used on those winxp w/ SP3 you
can download online, it says "invalid windows key" in the installation even it's
a legit key.

How do I do it properly?

can't you just use the SP2/IE6 ISO to install and have the SP3 update and IE8 on another disk/flash drive to update right after install?

yes, I can do that, but it takes times and not every time my windows will run smoothly after the update.

nlite
dig thru the forums (ryanvmm) and find their switchless installers to integrate

no point using ur sp2 image as well, use a fresh, untouched copy of xp with sp3 in it and start from there
