1 of the mistake novices make is not being obvious. Make it obvious that u'r interested in her (not in a creepy/desparate way of course). I know wut u'r thinking, u'r afraid that it'll scare her away. The truth is, it won't (unless she's 12, which u have bigger problems to worry about). It's not a crime to like somebody, so there's no need to act like it is 1 and be all dodgy & shit. When dealing with girls, sincerity counts. Acting like u have something to hide is NOT sincere.

At then end of the day, the awkwardness is just in ur head. Even if u fail, there's nothing to be ashamed about. Hold ur head up high and march forward. You have only so many years to live, make the most out of it.
