Reporting Hit & Run

How long would I have to report a hit & run? I was hit over 6 months back but at the time I didn't feel like reporting it since the damage wasn't bad (no dents, just some scratches). Would it be too late for me to report/claim it now? If it's not too late, how long would I have?

If I remember correctly, if you don't report the incident to your insurer within 14 days, they can choose to deny any claim. Whether they will or not, I don't know. Nothing to loose by trying I would imagine.

...except if they deny it and anything happens to your car such as being involved in an accident where that particular part is hit again, ICBC will make you pay out the original claim before they are willing to fix your car even you're not at fault in the accident. Example, your bumper was scratched in the Hit N Run, and ICBC denied your claim, then they will know about the bumper. Sometime later, you get rear ended, ICBC can charge you a premium for the fact that your bumper was scratched already and make you pay a betterment fee or something like that.
