Buying used deck from craigslist, things to look out for?

hi,I am loooking to buy an used car deck from craigslist.

What are something i should watch out, and What are the necessary pieces that should come with the unit/ or should be attached to the back of the unit?

I dont want to buy something that i will have to shell out more cash to buy parts before I can install it.

Should I look for harness?, faceplate, .....remote.... or some other things?

I am new to car decks, and not familiar with the standard parts that is require to install a deck

What do you want the deck to do? Is iPod important to you? Would you like Bluetooth on the deck? CD's or MP3's? What kind of car do you have? Will it take a double din deck, or just a single?

I am buying to replace my old alpine single din deck. Main usage is Cd playing with mp3 capability. Ipod ( dont care, dont have one), bluetooth (dont care, dont talk while driving)

Bonus will include: front aux or front USB, rear USB or aux will do too. But can live with just mp3 CDs. The car is a 99 accord.

Want a deck around $150-$200max with easy control and SQ.
I am scared to buy something that will require modification or faulty units.

main unit
wiring harness
mounting cage
trim (front around face)
remote (if available)

If I'm buying a deck from someone I don't know I usually bring a battery pack, test light and a speaker for testing purposes.

For that price you can buy a brand new deck with a full warranty, USB control, high voltage pre-outs for better signal and of course, good SQ!

Why buy used when you can go brand new?
