This is the one a got a few months back...

Costco Canada doesn't usually sell Panasonic shavers but the Richmond one got a shipment. They sold for $99 brand new, not refurbs. If they are sold out check Costco in the US or Target. I almost bought from there for a bit more, they had the same model but with the cleaning/charging dock.

The regular fusions aren't doing it any more. I go through like one cartridge every 2-3 weeks. ....

What's some good adjustable shavers, if there are any? I like to keep like a 5'o'clock shadow look, but have to use a hair trimmer to do it.

Pussies.......... I use one of these.

That Panasonic looks okay but I'm not a big fan of the cleaning bases as u need to replace the fluid every 2 months or so. I would look for a deal on a 8000 series model instead, the curved Arc blades and the 13,000 rpm motor are worth it! Check Target, Walmart, and Costco in the US.

SDU 10-12-2009 08:35 PM

This is the one I am currently using. Picked it up in the states for 130-140. Pretty good price considering they sell it here for 200+ just for the razor.

If your going to head down, pick up the flexcare sonicare too. I got it at Costco for 140 for two units. They sell it here for almost 200 just for 1 unit. lol.. Best toothbrush on earth..!

thumper 10-13-2009 06:00 AM

oh and remember to find one with dual/universal voltage. you never know when you may have to travel. my friend bought a cheap norelco and it didn't have this, so he looked like a caveman when he came back :lol

tiger_handheld 10-13-2009 08:25 AM

do most shavers with a 3 circular blades have a trimming edge for sideburns n such? is that a standard?

most do, but i've seen the low-end models without the trimmer.

you! 10-13-2009 08:45 AM

picked up my braun single head at costco last year and i would rate it 3/5 because i find that it doesn't shave as close so i would need to go over certain sections multiple times to get that smooth finish i want...i get irritations half of the time depending on how thick the hair is, thicker = more strokes

bro is using the philips 3 round head, i think i'll give it a try next time and let u guys know which 1 i like better..although i think i'll be a total noob at it since i've never tried it

q0192837465 10-13-2009 09:14 AM

I heard that the 3 circle ones generally dun give as close of a shave as the roller type. Mine is a 2 circle philips and the shave is not really good.

Arc IV Nano Blades FTW!!!

Review (ignore the talk about pricing)

Shopping (make sure it says nano, don't go for the cleaning base unless you are prepared to buy refills)

yeah it does but I never use it, its on the other side of the shaver.

skholla 10-13-2009 10:11 AM

I've found that the trimmers on shavers are never good. Better off buying a dedicated set of trimmers or mini clippers that you can use for other jobs too (hair cut, body hair, pets, etc). Check out eBay and search for the Wahl Peanut, Wahl Alpha and Wahl Omega, all are great products and are very reasonable if purchasing online.
