Whereas some dude that saved up for years to buy just an STi or whatever, you gotta give a guy props for that. You appreciate what you have alot more when you paid for it yourself, no matter what car it is |

I know a few mainlanders in vancouver, their parents give them over 7 digits in spending money for the years they spend overseas.... 100k car is really nothing to them.... these ppl have no where to spend their money anyways... they'd be fucked if they buy any of these cars in china.... |
It use to be HK hongers with the money but now the mainlanders are lighting shit up. My dad sold two houses this year, both to mainlanders who paid cash and didn't go through the bank. Talk about balling. |
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/116/42760122.jpg The R8 looks even uglier than it normally does in this picture |

to each their own. ppl come together when they find a commonality, whether it be language, or cars, they find comfort in something common. so these guys come together because they most likely find it comforting speaking the same language, and have the same interests in cars. just curious how they would treat someone with a sub $40,000 price tag car. its the asian culture to spoil and provide for your offspring to the point that you hope it would compensate for lack of being a parental figure in their life. honestly, even my own parents have thought, how would i have turned out if we didnt immigrate to canada, or have done so much later in my life. would i have turned out to be a juvenile delinquent like some of my cousins overseas with no sense of money and monetary value. however, from my experience, you are shunned out of the culture if ur not seen to be wealthy, yet how wealthy are they if by definition, their assets and equity is not theirs, but their parents. family as a whole may be rich, but personally, these kids are far worse with no skills, gained assets, and any equity under their own name. be happy with what you have, and never take any of it for granted. never look down upon anyone, as they may be richer than you 10 fold, but smart in not needing to show it. |
I smell a RS-Vansky Invasion in the future................. |
