I have imported r33 gts's for under 5K landed from the auction. you could possibly get a GTR for 10-11K if you get it brokered.

banning for safety reason? WTF? and motorcycle is still legal in Canada?

r33 gtr's are legal as of january of 2010, but you have to get the right build date. cant bring in a march build if its only january.

if you need any info on the rhd situation go to www.15years.ca

RHD's here are AWESOME. You get off the car right onto the curb! How convenient!

import_luva 10-15-2009 11:05 PM

JSALES 10-16-2009 12:36 AM

how would it work if you were the only one driving in a RHD car crossing the border? haha, kinda hard to reach over to the passenger window

import_luva 10-16-2009 12:50 AM

lol i got it figured out, i have friends that have fairlady's and skylines and my friend with the fairlady has one of those sticks with the claws, so when he goes to a parkade he can press and grab the ticket hahaha

hk20000 10-16-2009 04:45 AM

for crossing the border it's ok you just reach over a bit and the officer will reach hand in to get the passport. No drama.

and Yes I love getting out on the curb side.

schmooot 10-16-2009 05:50 AM

there's a canadian forum all about this
http://forum.ivoac.ca/
I found it very useful when I got mine just a month ago, mind you I wasn't the one that brought it into the country but I bought it right from the shop that did

hk20000 10-16-2009 05:52 AM

I used that forum to get help getting my car imported myself too. Worked out quite smoothly. A bit of driving around to get the paperwork but it's all within Vancouver area.

hit and miss with tyeeimports. I went to their lot in the summer and was quite disappointed... they have a lot less cars than advertised on the website. Most of their cars aren't in the best shape hence the price. My friend has purchased two vehicles from them, an MR2 turbo which surpisingly had no issues at all until it was written off. He then bought an FD from them which blew up within a couple weeks.

I had to do this once, i leaned over to give my passport to the customs agent and my foot got caught in the steering wheel and face planted right on the center console. The custom guy busted out laughing :haha:
When he was giving it back he said "DONT DO THAT AGAIN!, here I;ll just throw it to you"
