called Ak autoworks and they don't want to do it. |
any bodyshop that is willing to do it. |
If you want the whole factory paint look, it will cost you a shiny penny. need to remove all 4 calipers, paint with high temp paint, and reinstall, refill brake fluid. This is the only way to make it 100% factory looking. its approx $800 of material and labour right there. or just spend $50 and brush on high temp paint on it yourself. |
When I took my car to MFRT to get something done, they had a customer who had a XC90 with some sort of sport package made by Heico. (which i never heard of before, and apparently they are a volvo tuner) The guy at MF was just finished painting the Heico brake calipers on that XC90 when I walked in. You can try them? |

Who would pay that much for painted calipers? Not that hard to remove calipers, take them off and take them down to a shop and get them sprayed. |
800 bucks? c'mon, put that money towards something else. plz... |
We can do it, OP has PM! |
800? Dont do it bro.. |
not for 800 bucks...can't you just take it off and send it to a powder coating shop? |

in my case, i had a total of 12 pistons and seals to re/re, which was expensive because of the stupid porsche markups on the rebuild kit :( |

BTW is that xc90 the red one? There's sometimes a fire red xc90 a block from where I live, I think it's got the V8 too |
If you do take off brakes, make sure you know what you're doing. That's the one thing in a car you don't want to install back on improperly. |
