Uhh... no thanks :Puke: |

i love tako wasa! but this is on a whole different level of extreme! |
I've tried it when I went to Korea this summer, it was alright, the experience is better than the taste. I also had live squid along with the live octopus. I also had some horse sashimi too :) They have raw octopus here too, but I don't think its LIVE. My dish in Korea was still squirming around! |
Technically the octopus is dies when they chop it up. The nerves fire randomly for a few more minutes afterwards. |
:fuuuuu: I'm fucking eating noodles right now!!!!!! |
so for those who don't chew... how long does these things swim around inside your stomach? |
lol i almost tried this when i was in korea last year but i pussied out cuz i was really drunk and thought i might choke on it ghey i shoulda tried it :( |
thats the thing, will it try to swim back up ur throat? like seriously, those suckers got good grip! |

I'm also curious how long it lasts if you take er down whole lol |
looks delicious, im hungry now |
ok, octopus are known for being able to sacrifice a tenticle or 2 to save itself. now say u do chew off a tenticle or 2, and swallow the rest of its body. whats stopping it from using the other 6 to crawl back up ur throat? it still takes some time before it reaches your stomach, where i dont think it has a chance of survival, but before then... the only thing i can think of is possibly it would be like drinking water upside down, or eating something upside down. the muscles in your throat can force the food towards ur stomach... i've seen live octopus before like this, but to filet a fish and then put it back in the water like that is just disgusting. |
man that actually looks like fun... the thing would be fighting the whole time and all the way down that would be soo trippy |

Regardless, I don't think I could bring myself to put that thing close to my face in the first place. |
I've tried it quite a few times here in Korea. It is definitely quite an experience. It usually comes on a plate with just the tentacles covered with sesame oil, green onions and garlic. It's kinda trippy when you put it in your mouth because it sticks to the walls but after chewing the sucker for a few good times (shit is chewy) it goes down fine. The rest of the body is cooked in soup along with other live whole squids. Shit tastes gooooood! |
^ dont u get sick eating raw shit like that? how do ppl get sick eating raw foods than |

but if the squid ain't moving when it comes to your table, i wouldn't recommend eating it. it's a pretty popular dish in korea so i don't think there are problems eating raw squid/octopus. |
That's nasty, but I still want to try it. LOL |

I had that when I was in Korea for vacation last year, it's not as bad as it looks it's fun to have it tentacle rape your mouth |
I ate it while in korea. You obviously chew it first, it's not bad. |
