Gotta prepare for forza 3!

I believe only certain Xbox wheels work for the xbox, the G25 and most others do not.

The one thing I have noticed about these rigs you guys post is field of view, don't you find the screen way too far away?

rich

ilvtofu 10-19-2009 07:33 PM

^That's not fair!
I'd imagine if it works with microsoft windows they should probably make it work with microsoft xbox too, oh well i guess I won't be buying a wheel until someone releases a good xbox/ps3 wheel

or at least wait till ps3 comes out to buy a used G25 they'll probably be under $200 by then

any idea how i can mount a factory 993 porsche sport seat? lolol recycling
custom fab? :D

im just building my frame outa wood, if you do that you can just bolt your seat down to the frame, and if your seat has the sliders/rails built onto it, then it's as easy as that

+Kardboard+ 10-19-2009 07:40 PM

Sooner or later I'll be ripping out my front seats. When that happens, I'll build the Home Depot-Volvo version of your set up, Hondaracer. :lol

Hondaracer 10-19-2009 07:43 PM

lol today when i was looking at some of these i was thinking of even just ripping a whole drivers console and interior out of a car and building one, but i think that might be overkill lol

jing 10-19-2009 07:51 PM

With all the JDM fanb0is on RS I'm surprised no one on here has an RHD "cockpit"

Why bother when you can drive a JDM car on the road these days.

Since we're having this dork fest i thought i'll post my set up
when i upgraded to the g25 my dad helped put together this racing stand for me

I attempted to spray paint racing stripes last month. It was meant to be used with the couch for viewing distance/audio sweetspot but it's a bitch moving it in/out

hooks to keep pedals stationary
the wires looks messy but it's actually quite tidy. I have the USB cord tucked into the floorboards so it seems almost like it's wireless

I meant shifting with your LH instead of RH!

Building these controller setups is an attempt to replicate the driving/racing experience so why not take it one step further in a sense and make it "true" JDM

+Kardboard+ 10-19-2009 10:24 PM

I know what you mean, what I meant was funny. :p

What's cheaper? Bona fide JDM or shifting on the left in your Rona-powered rig? :D

EDIT: twitchyzero, your dad is WIN. :lol

skyxx 10-19-2009 11:00 PM

^ I'm gonna one up everyone and put a Roll-cage on my set-up and I'll make someone shake my setup so it feels real! :lol
