Electronic cigarettes..where to buy locally?

does anyone know where a can buy a starter kit locally?
I know this website ships to canada
www.greensmoke.com

a couple of buddys of mine bought these in the states..nothing but good reviews if your trying to quit.

does anybody here use them?anymore feedback on these

i think dealextreme.com sells them too. they used to sell them at the casino in richmond, a dude @ work used them. he liked them and they came in different flavours too, and can be used indoors. however i think the casino stopped selling them b/c they didn't pass FDA approval or something. so you might want to beware what's actually in it. i think on the forum of the product on dealextreme someone took the time to post it's actual contents.

might want to try nicotine gum or a small digital device that times when you smoke to slowly ween you off of it. worked for my dad

Jeffield 10-21-2009 11:11 AM

nack 10-21-2009 03:19 PM

i want. how much for one?

threezero 10-21-2009 03:44 PM

www.happyvaper.com(canadian)
www.healthcabin.com(cheaper, same product but ships from china, longer wait and potential problem getting across the border)

I wouldn't get any of the mass advertise e ciggy like greensmoke, smokingeverywhere etc

recommended model, dsn901, 801, titan/happyvaper 510. the starter kit for all of them is cheaper than greensmoke

I have a set from happyvaper, 510 model in silver.

before you purchase you must have realistic expectation of what this is suppose to do.
-when a website tells you one cart = 3-4 pack of smokes they are LIEING!!!!!. cart will last you maximize 5 real cig?
- this is not quitting smoking, its an alternative, if anything when you first get it you will probably go overboard and suck on it day and night because of the convenience. than slowly you will use it as its intended
- be aware that although this emulates smoking, it does not and will not taste the same. I have yet to find a juice/cart that taste the same as real ciggy (this is a good thing as most of the taste come from the 400 chemical in real cig, e cig only have less than 5 ingredient)
-the actual ingredient that produce the vapour is no mystery, contains PG (use in fog machine), nicotine and flavouring.
-Buy juice to refill, NOT carts if you want to save money doing this.
-general rule: the more the device looks like a real cig the worse it performs

lastly do you research google for the few ecig forums that does not just promote one product.

there are various opinion on why this is ban by FDA and various health organization around the world. the obvious one would if they takes off, major tobacco company is basically screw and it is a fact that company like phlips morris have stake in FDA.

I have been using e cig for about 3 months now and here's my input the cons

-no enough research. almost all of the e cig currently are made in china, as we all know QC is a big problem there. the company are making money but not enough to dump into doing research the right way
-TOO MANY SHIT PRODUCT MADE BY SHIT COMPANY OUT TO MAKE MONEY AND RUIN THE INDUSTRY, greensmoke is one of them. the 159$ unit they sell is only slightly better thant the 5$ crap dx has
-starter kits are just that, starters. if you are going really take up e smoking you will need extra battery and atomizers (the unit that produce the vapour)
-the biggest con imo: the atomizer. it can last anywhere from few days to months. I ordered a few on them and each one of them is built slightly different and therefore no guarantee when they will die. if they are too dry or dying it give off a burning taste that cannot be good for you

all in all if you did your research before purchase like I did you will be very happy with the result. I don't expect the quit with this but I have cut down on the consumption of real ciggies and I love being able to smoke indoors. But it you saw someone use it and than immediately go google and purchase from the first link you get, you will be very dissapointed.

just a hint, french pipe flavor taste like ass. the flavor i enjoy right now is strawberry, ry4, coke and marlboro.

in theories yes, again there are no long term studies. but nicotine itself is though to be a carcinogen.

i would say this is a healthier alternative, but its not a thing u should start if your not already smoking, fresh air is always better

thanks for the input/write up man....i would thank u if i could!

very true.. i dont think FDA wants to approve because gov'mnt makes serious money on tobacco / health costs..i think its a good alternative to smoking..ill do more research on it in the meanwhile..so what are u using at the moment?

does anyone want to do grouup buys for a good quality one? ill take deposits , i wouldnt mind forkin out the cash for now.

threezero 10-21-2009 09:50 PM

i'm using the joye 510
http://www.healthcabin.net/joye-510-...luiij8q8jgc4p1

highly recommended, comes in many colors and either auto or manual battery. I prefer manual cause there is less chance of the battery failing if juice leaks inside but auto might be better for someone just starting out as it best emulates a real cig

there is also dse 901 that is the same size and is also good choice. the bigger you go the more vapour, throat hit and battery life. 510 produce a shitload of vapour for its size, the battery won't last you a day though without a recharge pack.

if you do a groupbuy I wouldn't mind pitching in for a e cigar :)
