Bought computer in September, Windows 7 free upgrade? Hey, So i searched the forum and didn't find the topic here. I bought my new laptop just this September and I'm hearing that im eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 7. Does anyone know how this works or has anyone actually registered for their copy? |
did u try checking the manufactures site? i think the manufactures site tells u how to find out if ur eligible or not. |
yes, check your manufacture's website you entre model/serial number, your info, and pay shipping |
ahh ok, found it, thanks guys |
hey guys, sorry to bump this up but I just got a Gateway LT31 laptop for my mom that has Vista on it, and I want to do the free upgrade to 7. However, when I go to the Gateway site and get redirected to the Mentor Media site and enter the serial, it tells me that it is invalid or does not qualify for an upgrade. I am wtfing right now, could it have to do with the LT31 not having an optical drive? |
