Got into an accident..

Okay I was merging onto the portmann bridge westbound, from surrey.. anyways I was trying to merge ahead of this truck that let a few people ahead of me in.. I couldnt tell if she was letting me in or not.. as she was speeding up and slowing down, speed up and slowing down etc.. anyways when she slowed down and there was room I put it in.. and then she sped up and hit me up, (I wasnt sure if she was letting me in or not.. didnt actually look up to see if she could see me or not.. bad luck I guess).. then I spoke with her after and she said she couldn't see me (she was in a big company truck) one with a crane on the back for lifting shit.. anyways the damage is minimal.. one scratch from where she hit me (her big ass right tire, hit the left side of my rear bumper, near my tire.. But my bumper is slightly deformed now and i cant push it back in.. sticks out a bit.. im not that pissed off it could have been a lot worse.. but she said I would be at fault.. Im kinda thinking she is right.. what do you think?

She's at fault

:lol I failed myself

are you sure? since the damage is at the side of my bumper.. not directly on the back.. i mean if i claim it through ICBC, she would most likely say that I shoved my way in and she being in that big ass truck, I was in her blind spot and hit me

wrong

hes at fault. she has the right of way. you have to yield to her. you cant always expect them to see you. given the road conditions, you should of stop until she cleared the way. you have to anticipate this shit. are an N driver?

You could've saved yourself by saying she's at fault not because of the action but because she's a woman.

But you failed.

ICBC's going to say it's 50/50 and both of you are gonna get screwed. If you claim it, your insurance will go up as if you were 100% at fault.

Do the math. Insurance increase over 5 years or whatever vs. pay for the repair youself and make your decision from there.

you! 10-26-2009 01:13 PM

its always the womans fault lol
