PSU failing on me? I have an Antec Neo HE 550, comes with 5yr warranty for this baby. I have 3 internal hard drives and everytime I access D: and E:, the hard drive is actually powering up. I can even hear the hard drives starting up everytime I access it. This goes for my WD Green 1TB ext hdd as well. It's a NEO HE 550W. That's a powerful psu considering I do not have anything overclocked with 3 hdd, 1 optical, 3 usb devices, and an 8800gt 512mb. Is it safe to assume the PSU is starting to die? Also, does anyone here have experience with Antec warranty? Thanks. |
since its limited to the 2 secondary drives it sounds like the power management settings in windows. under advanced power settings change it to 0 or never http://i35.tinypic.com/vy5ggo.png also caviar greens slow down to minimum rpm on their own when not in use. |
When my PSU died, it didn't show any signs... it just died on me. |
^ same thing with me, i turned it off - the next day it just refused to start again. |
