man so many brutal ones in there. Like the poor guy at the very end, the one that took out SIX cars and one lit on fire, the guy that swerved at the last second and tried to squeeze through. It's nuts because some look to be right as the light turns red but a lot of them are long after the fact.

Reminds me of when my cousin from Prince George was at a light and told me that every time at that light, you have to wait a good 2-3 seconds after it turned green because someone will blow the red. And sure enough someone blew right through. Ridiculous.

Also reminds me of when I nearly got GG'd by a bigass truck, I was in the left turn lane that I used to go through multiple times a day, and normally right as it goes green I'm off. But I was flipping songs on my MP3 player (hooked to the deck calm down) and didn't get on it right away, just as I start moving forward this truck blows through less that foot from my bumper. It's bumper was level with my head, would've been game over if he hit me.

One of my friends hit a girl who blew a red light in her little car, with his Jeep. She took the bumper to the head, and died instantly. 100% her fault but he was pretty messed up by it :(

Kev

At that speed and with that lighting, doubtful the guy could tell that was a Lambo up ahead.

IMO, the worst accident is the at approximately 4:35. The white pick-up annihilates the 4runner. The sad part? See the black Pacifica in the slow lane that looks like it's driving away after the accident? The driver was killed from a piece of the 4runner hitting him/her and the vehicle moving forward is a result of the driver letting off the brake.

Dead because of someone else's negligence.

Kev

That's so sad :( I was wondering what was up with that.

What surprises me is that there are many shots from the same two or three intersections, with a couple of single ones mixed in.

Maybe the local peeps (wherever that is..) should do something to fix the problems inherent to those intersections!

^ I think that's why those cameras were set up. Has anyone else seen the video where the guy said that the light changed too fast at an intersection, and he knew there would be a bad accident because of it so he went there and filmed almost everyday, til one day that truck got stuck on the tracks because the light changed too fast and the train drove through it?

edit: here it is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQx-Zu7KBVg

the guy was documenting the safety of the crossing because he knew it was poorly set up. he was right.

+ 1...running rred lights is a very big problem in rural areas in Taiwan..many people treat them as 4 way stop signs...

man this video is good for reminding you to keep your foot firmly on the brakes while waiting at a red light, never know when the idiot behind you is gonna rear end you into the crossing traffic..even worse, peds!

Saturday night I was going towards downtown on kingsway and joyce and I saw not 1, not 2 but 3 fucking cars run a red light.. The opposite side had a left turn light but the first car just went thinking that he had a green light probably and the 2 other cars followed. The second car had to stop in the middle of the street when he realized he was running a red.. And that's not the worst part. There were 2 cop cars parked in front of the CIBC which was right by the intersection and they didn't even do anything...

Retarded fucking drivers.. seriously

LemonH2O 11-09-2009 12:31 AM

I think I gasped out loud about 10 times in that whole video.
Fire trucks fail, harder fail on the one that went on it's side
2:24 - one of the hardest hit of the video, driver probably died instantly
2:52 - he/she actually missed the pedestrian, who WALKED ON like nothing happened
3:13 - HOW DID HE/SHE MISS EVERY CAR?!?!
End - biker looked like a rag doll being tossed in the air

Some of these were ridiculously lucky situations...
