FS: Legit, titled '99 Honda Civic TYPE R

Here's the deal:

I just bought the car about a week and a half ago and I was in Georgia for training and I had it shipped when I graduated and its actually in transit to WA state as Im typing this. As soon as it gets to WA, I can bring it up for you to take a look. Its titled in New York and I have it insured right now. I dont know the whole process of bringing in a US titled car up to Canada but Im pretty sure its alot easier and cheaper than importing it from Japan.

I havent had a chance to take pics but here's the ad from the guy I bought it from. Some of you may have seen it. -----

http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2438827

Anyway, here are the details...

1999 Honda Civic Type R
Championship White
Bone Stock (except radio/speakers)
65K Kilometers
Clean and Clear NY Title with Japanese VIN
Pioneer Avid D3 Radio with Bluetooth
Alpine 6 1/2 Components in the Front
Alpine 6x9 - 3 way speakers in the Rear
Extremly good condition
Interior 8.5/10
Exterior 9/10
Honda Hamp Oil Filter and Mobil 1 Synthetic oil
Mobil Premium 93 Octane Gas only
Missing: CTR Floor mats - currently have aftermarket mats, rear seatbelt buckles, and retainers that hold the rear seatbacks where they rotate.

Im selling it cuz I dont like it as much as I thought I would....buyer's remorse I guess you can call it. Plus, I need an AWD. NO TRADES. NO TRADES. NO TRADES. NO TRADES.

I live in WA but am staying in Cloverdale currently. I wont be able to bring it through the border cuz I dont plan on registering it. I will be titling it in WA though.

Oh, price is $17,000USD OBO. Thanks.

I will take pictures this wknd, the car will be here by Saturday.

*******CO's, please let me know if Im doing something wrong.*******

It's gotta be over 15 years old to be imported into Canada if it wasn't available in North America for sale when new.

Does it have to be over 15 years even if it is already reg'd in the US?

Thas what I'm sayin. Since it's already titled, I don't think it would fall under the same guidelines but I don't kno so I can't answer for sure.

Yes it does. US has different import rules and guidelines so they have quite a lot of RHD CTR's and ITR's imported down there. However to import it into Canada, its another set of rules. Check riv.ca for rules.

I pretty sure you can legally import it for "offroad use" just not to register it to drive it on our roads... unfortunately... Not until 15 years after the date of manufacture can you register it here for road use... legally that is...
