external hard drive
 
so i recently installed a my 500gb external hard drive and now every time i put my comp to sleep or something it will cut my firewall off disconnecting me from internet connection why is that? is there anyway to fix this?

what im saying is..that my computer has never turned my firewall off when i turn it off or put it to sleep....it just started happening when i installed my external hard drive...

I don't think it's his firewall turning off. is this a laptop or desktop? are you putting it to sleep or putting it into hybernation?

im using a desktop..im either putting it to sleep or turning it off..then the 3 lights on my firewall goes red
