wireless router problem

My wireless router is acting up again, starting yesterday i couldnt connect to the internet but the modem is fine. When i connect directly to the modem it's working but when i use my wireless router it doesn't work. Anybody know the proper setting for it? cuz it was working fine before...

You couldn't have been more clear.

Your description of the issue along with such accurate detail will let all of RS know how to fix your problem. I greatly enjoyed how you told us the detail of the router such as make and model. As well as what you may have done to create the issue or how you tried to fix it.

It is unfortunately, however, that I'm not a mind reader and as such, I cannot tell you much more than that. Sorry.

unplug everything, wait a minute, plug them back in. if that doesnt work give us model #s

And then if the router works after the unplug/plug fix, look into a Keep Alive setting in your router if it has it. Basically, it reboots your router at a certain time just in case the router stops functioning.

buy a new router. seems like your router is old. the best before date for routers are usually 90days.

Just reset it by unplugging it. I have the same issue with the wireless router my landlord has.. like once every 2 months he has to reset it and then it works fine..
