Airline tickets back to China

Airline tickets back to China
where do you buy them? what places offer good deals?

Qmx323 11-06-2009 10:40 AM

lol noob

jus shittin ya, don't use expedia or those online sites, the chinese travel agencies are the way to go :D

i've seen low-tide tickets as low as 900 and even in high season they are still wayyyy cheaper than expedia.

also look into flying from Sea-Tac rather than YVR, it *might* be cheaper

every once in awhile Air Canada has cheap tickets to China, I think like $199 one-way. check their website periodically.

bcedhk 11-06-2009 12:29 PM

if your planning to go this december, good luck trying to find tickets <1500 one way... my friend jsut got his ticket to Hong Kong for 1500 ,, stopping over at seattle first.

Fafine 11-06-2009 12:47 PM

Don't most places offer it? I took Cathay Pacific.

if your chinese (or even if youre not) then you can go to one of those chinese travel agencies, but if youre leaving during busy season like dec, then i suggest you purchase tix like a day or two before the day you plan on leaving cause the price drops like a couple hundred dollars, cause last minute tickets with those chinese agencies are always really cheap. If you buy them now theyre all going to be like 1k
thats what my mom does, and shes leaving next month

asian_XL 11-06-2009 06:49 PM

freight forwarding company...they will provide free cardboard box to pack yourself in, around $100 per person, you will have to bring your own food

lol yes, i am fo seriouz
you can go ask around at the agencies though, but dont tell them straight up youre planning on buying last minute tix, otherwise they wont tell you what you want to know lol
just be like "Im inquiring about tickets for (month) and wanna know how much it'd be and im on a budget--" blah blah see what they tell you
but if youre leaving close to when all the high school kids are getting out of school, then it might be tough to get last mins tix but still possible!

thanks for the replies, at first i thought you weren't being serious about it because there were a couple of times i had to get last minute tickets and there weren't any left :(

Iceman_2K 11-15-2009 06:25 PM

its a bit of a gamble, but he's right, last minute is probably the dirt cheapest you'll get. However, do have a back up plan.
