I am right handed but shoot left. I cannot shoot right at all, but for baseball I can swing from both sides of the plate.

To the OP: if you want to improve your shot, practice your skating and balance. Most of the power generated is based on how strong you are on your skates.

Don't worry too much about the flex or the type of stick. Just make sure its the right length.
