Starter rebuild/replace? Where are some credible rebuild shops for rebuilding starters or replacing them? Preferably specialize in honda/acura if possible thanks |
For which car? I have a starter for 97 Integra Auto Let me know if you want it.. Thanks, |
from what i've experienced, the majority of the time when the starter goes, its not so much the starter motor itself, but the contacts in the solenoid wear out. Honda's use either Nippon denso (ND) or mitsuba starters. If it's ND, the solenoid cover easily comes apart (3 screws/bolts) then unscrew the contacts. Bring them to a shop like edmonds starters and they can match it up. Might be $20 or so. If its Mitsuba, then you need to replaced the starter. The last couple of staters i've had to replaced for friends, i just went to Napa. Haven't had any problems with them. |
I'm gonna second Edmond Starters. I dealt with them a few years ago and I was satisfied |
Does this place buy back used starters for the core? |
