Question: Will 16's fit on a 09 Lancer GTS

Hi

i need to help my sister get some snow tires and we wanted to get her a set of steelies.

i've checked the website. the lower model lancers have 16" wheels and smaller calipers/rotors

the GTS has 18" wheels and slightly larger calipers/rotors

so i was wondering if 16" steelies would fit? does anyone know?

having trouble finding the car model specific calculator that calculates offset and etc.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, 17's wont even fit on an Evo though... I tried...
But the brakes are less than 12" on the GTS neways, so diameter should be fine, just make sure offset will clear. If you are interested I have a set of 5mm slip on spacers :D

Edit: googled offset for the GTS +43 on the 18" and it's a 7" wheel which is within the common range of offset I believe

Oh, if budget is not an issue, I'd definately go with the X-Ice2

got this from a Lancer forum

Quote:

A 16" wheel will fit on the GTS model. It is the smallest wheel that will fit, though.
but they;re talking about 2008 Lancers not sure if theres a difference

and this

Pattern: 16 X 6-1/2, 5-4-1/2 is the ONLY one that will fit. The bolt pattern has to be EXACTLY the same. The ONLY thing you can play around with is the offset. Seems a 35mm to a 45mm offset will work. Im not sure anything else has been tried.
