Need help with a decision for Laptop

Hi so I'm looking for a new laptop. Nothing fancy, at least 2gb RAM, 150+GB HD, long battery life (more than 3 hrs), built in webcam, dvd-rw drive etc and price range $400-$600

I've narrowed it down to the Lenovo G550
but I was wondering:
at ATIC we have this one

http://www.atic.ca/index.php?page=LongDesc&sku=60834

(I think there's a mistake there as the webcam can't possibly be 0.3 MP I don't think....on the web it seems to be 1.3 MP everywhere).

6 hr battery life!

$550 if cash payment.

On ebay I found one here
http://cgi.ebay.ca/LENOVO-G550-BNIB-...ht_1998wt_1165

which looks nice ($10 more expensive after shipping)

but I was wondering....

if I avoid the hassle of shipping (and save $10 at the same time), the ATIC one has 3GB DDR3 ram and 250GB HD.

THe ebay one, however, has 320 GB HD and 4GB DDR2 RAM...

Do you guys think the ATIC one is the better choice assuming I don't give a shit about the extra 70GB HD space, nor do I think 4GB DDR2 vs 3GB DDR3 will make a huge difference... ? Not to mention the ATIC one comes with windows 7 whereas the ebay one doesn't.
(all this assuming everythign else is the same..esp the battery life being 5-6 hrs).

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

Also if you guys think there's a laptop better than this in the same price range feel free to let me know

I'm sorta in the exact same boat. My old toshiba laptop displays nothing but the blue screen of death every single time i turn it on so i'm in the market for a new laptop as well.
I've been to staples, future shop, best buy all too many times the past week and considered laptops ranging from $500 to $850 but i think i've finally decided on a laptop:

It's an acer and it's available at staples:
http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/ca...affixedcode=WW
What's directing me towards the Acer is basically the integrated GPU. Sure it might not be able to play any new games, but in almost all benchmarks it's still at least 2X better than the integrated Intel 4500M garbage found with budget Intel laptops. The rest of the specs are basically the same with most of the other laptops that I've seen in the $500-650 range. You really have to step up to a $750-800 laptop to really get anything that's much different (and usually that's dictated by the inclusion of an independent video card).
Though... i'm not sure if it satisfies your integrated webcam criteria.

FYI: The Lenovo G550 is also available at Staples for ~$550:

If you have any other questions i'll try to help out... I'll probably be looking intensely for the next week or so unless i pull the trigger on the Acer.

If you aren't gonna be gaming who cares if its the Intel video. It works fine and saves battery power.

Ok
so I've pretty much changed my mind and am considering either the lenovo y550 or the lenovo u550

Such a hassle tryign to find them in canada tho, every freakin online store is US only.
I also don't know any local stores that carry them...ATIC is closest but they have to order it in.
ugh

EDIT:
since I am on a budget I just bought the Lenovo G550 from ATIC. Cheap and does everything I want.
cool
