restoring softness to MF
 

I think this was mentions before I did a search and couldn't find it. I have a really nice MF with one side for waxing other side for polishing brought it from one of the sponsor here. Its soooo soft, last time I wash my car I feel there is too much left over wax on it so I gave it a quick rinse with hot water no soap no nothing just rinse with hot water twist it to get the water out than hang dry. Now that its dry its no longer so soft and fluffy :(

Is there anyways to restore the softness without purchasing $$$$$$$ shampoo just for it? Even if it did lose it softness am I still save to use apply wax without swirling up my paint?

If you are using the washing machine, you can add vinegar ( no shit ) to the rinse cycle and that will fluff it up again.

anything i can do by hand? don't want to start a washing cycle for 1 mf.

use some liquid detergent or apc to get rid of the wax residue. I've tried the vinegar thing but i don't see a big difference in feel.

The vinegar thing only works to add fluffiness to the MF. It won't clean it. You'll need to wash with some laundry soap or APC as suggested first. Citrus based cleaners work very well to break down the wax/polish. And get some more MFs!

would soaking the mf in vinegar in a big bowl work? lol i want to avoid putting it in the washer cause i only have 1 i need it to be fluffy again

It does work. That's what I do. Just make sure you agitate the towel in the mixture first before you rinse it clean.
