How to remove exterior windshield "haze"?
 

I just bought a used car and the windshield is a little odd. It would "haze" up everytime it wipes and clears rather quickly. It also looks like the windshield repels water a little bit. It beads up a little rather than the water drop being "flat". I've tried using No-Touch auto glass stripper and it would be good for a day or two then it would be back to the same. I suspect the previous owner has rain-x on it previously.

My question is how do I clean up the windshield thoroughly so it doesn't bead waters anymore? Thanks.

Isn't it a good thing to have the water "bead up"? My car did that the first week I bought it. It doesn't do that anymore. :(

there are some window cleaning powders out there that really scrub down the build up of dirt on the exterior of the window that you might not be able to get off with water/soap/windex. HOWEVER, if u want to try, and i have used it before, you can get some steel wool, and gently scrub away at the glass exterior surface. it will scrub away any build up of dirt that normal solutions cant. u need to use elbow grease sometimes.

just remember windex is bad for tint, as the ammonia kills the glue. but however, most window tint is applied to the inside of the window.

I actually figured out what was causing this "haze". The previous owner had rain-x windshield washer fluid in so everytime I squirt it would build up on the windshield again. I drained the fluid and applied the "no-touch glass stripper" now it wipes perfectly. No more haze right after wipes.
