VW Citi Did you know that you could still buy first generation (yes the ones from the '70s) brand new in South Africa? They sell for about $12,000 CDN. http://www.vw.co.za/models/citi/ |
i wonder if we can import those to canada. |
yes i did, also did you know they have restyled 90s jetta in china? http://www.vw.com.cn/cn/zh/models/jetta.html |
wow... classic |
Can you use those new parts on the old cars? |
Wow heh nifty. VW is kinda cool that way. |
HOLY CRAP..... *imports...makes into MkI GTI* |
I believe they have stopped production on the Mk1's recently and is being replaced by the new golfs apparently. |
actually if you ever looked at the interior it has been fully updated |
VW likes to milk their products. the old beetle, essential, was the same model for 60 years. |
I don't know about you guys but I like it. I'll take one in blue. Old school body meets up with modern interior! http://www.autoblog.com/media/2006/04/VW-Citi-Dash.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...olf_R-Line.jpg CITI R-LINE!!! That's right an R-LINE!!! I want!!! |
^^ That's pretty cool of VW to do that. I wish some other car manufacturers could do the same with some old school cars that I really liked:( |
I'd buy one |
i believe the production of the mk1 has officially ended as of a month or so ago... would have to wait 15 years at least to import one of these... but to say the least it would be pretty cool/unique to have a brand new mk1... |
or just buy a used one and put in new parts |
ya i know i want one of these so bad to park next to my mk2 but too bad they stop making them and i have to wait so long before i can buy one |
