looking for good local toyota parts source?

i know i asked something similar to this a long time ago, but want to try again...

i used to know someone who worked a toyota parts counter but he's gone now so i'm on my own :(

my local toyota dealer wants $590cdn for an IAC valve (22270-20050). i looked online and they go for $211.20usd, but no one will ship to canada, and shipping to blaine or similar is not an option for me (no i'm not on a terrorist watch list.... maybe).

does anyone have a local source that won't rob me blind???

Maybe you can see if Autopartsway.ca has one?

Lithia Toyota ships to Canada. You just have to call them.

i found a stevinson toyota/lexus in colorado that will ship to canada. and they sell the part for $195usd!

add another $60usd for usps ground... still a lot cheaper than the $590cdn open road toyota quoted me :flamemad:

i'll try everyone's local suggestions one last time. thanks!

I have a new Tundra coming and have been searching for parts for a bit now. No one in Canada can come close to a lot of the options in the US. There are some though that Canadian suppliers can be competitive on. Like floormats, and some other little options for the truck. The bottom line though, is go through the US. The savings are good, but the sheer number of options is huge.

welcome to the toyota family. its like the Dark side of the force to starwars, but much more reliable!

I highly recommend them. They ship to canada np. I've spent well over $1500 with them.

And they ship via USPS, not UPS.. so very little in duty costs

It's not the duty you have to worry about but brokerage (read: rape) fee you get with UPS, FedEx, etc.

I'm going to have to check them out when I get some cash for a bed extender. It's cheap from them.

They've saved me so much money in brokerage that I flat out refuse to deal with a vendor who ships UPS or Fedex only.
