n00b question about repairing, refinishing, and powder coating rims

Hi,
I am kinda confused about repairing, refinishing, and powder coating rims
i hv a set of rims and all of them have scratched near the lug area
and 1 of them is bended on the outside(the lip)
also, i want to change the color of the rims
but i don't want to repaint it since it is so expansive, so I am planning to powder coat them
my question is...
1)do i need to refinish those three scratched wheels first then powder coat them?
2)if the damaged one is repaired, can it still be powder coated?
3)will the shop sand b4 they do powder coat?
4)can shop repair aftermarket rims (like mine: work emotion cr kai)?

thanks!!!!

1. No but it'll look like crap
2. Yes
3. No, they'll probably sandblast them
4. Yes

What makes you think powdercoating is cheaper than painting them anyways?

because i was searching around and i saw some ppl said powder coat cost like $50 per wheel or sth...
and repainting the wheel cost like 1XXper wheel...
so i think powder coat is cheaper...
isn't it?

wheel repair can be done through panthers and green's. I know there is another company, I think it might be nubrite. Cost will depend on the damage to the wheel.
