FS: B18C5 short block + oem Type R flywheel
 

as title states.


blown bottom end. no compression on cyl #4. no rod knock though.

most likely a blown piston ring. rest of the 3 cylinders fired fine.
motor has 194k kms on it.

bought new short block, so this is just dead paper weight to me.



complete short block assembly .


block advantage over B18C1 (GSR motor):

- higher comp pistons (10.6:1 i beleive)
- full counter weight, 8 weight, balanced crankshaft
- lighter rods
- oil squirters that squirt the bottom of the pistons to prolong engine life for high rpm use.
- higher capacity oil pump

no cracks on the block or what so ever. great core for rebuild, or for people thats just looking for parts off of this. C5 stamp.. come on, something to boast about.

also, stock ITR 14lb flywheel. might need resurfacing. not sure. im installing a lighter one, so dont need it.

as you can see here, cyl 4 is covered in oil. head didnt blow though, so no headgasket/head damage or warping or whatsoever. buyer can thoroughly check it out before buying it.

so motor is now out.

piston #4 simply blown a piston ring. no scoring on the walls luckily.
