Compustar alarm question
 

I have a Compustar 2WFMR /R7000 2 way autostart alarm. I don't know where it's bought and my sticker behind the remote is gone. I am guessing it's the Canadian model. Anyway I want to upgrade my remote and I know some of the us model doesn't work with certain canadian models. Does anyone know which choices to go for an remote upgrade?

Ask for the Compustar 2W8000FM-R3P. It is the new equivalent model that will work with your existing system

Is that the only model? I feel bad for calling local dealers and not end up buying one :(

I tried to google 2W8000FM-R3P but I can find anything online. Is the 2w8000 the same thing?

you won't find it online and the ones you find online will be from the states and be programmed with different frequencies which will mean it won't work with your system.

Go to local authorized Compustar Dealer and they will take care of you. Program it for you, and offer you local warranty.

The Canadian Compustar info is somewhat lacking. The sponsors here know what you need and can get it for you without too much effort. Thats why you should always trust your local independant!

I'm sure that any of the sponsors above can also supply you with the newer Pro remote along with an antenna. It should get you the use of the new remote but some functions might not work with it..
