WTB Nice higher end LOUD 6.5 components Lookin for a durable nice set of 6.5 components....something thatll take a good chunk of power preferrably. My former components were focal k2p's so Im familiar with quality...looking for a louder speaker this time around. Have about 180 watts rms per side to play with. Was looking into DD A series german built components but they seem a little pricey for me. Lemme know what you have please Thanks |
Premier prs 720's Killer reviews. I won several trophies with them with 200 watts a side. |
Premier prs 720's ftw. i had them in my explorer feeding 150watts x 2 to them all day long and sound amazing |
I think Im going to end up going with k2p's again. I know they arent a particularly loud speaker but I already have the tweeters and crossovers so just need to get a hold of the midrange. I liked them very much last time with only 50 watts a side. Going to try more like 300 a side this time |
you should go see jeff wong...and get a set of zapco.....or if you want to spend some decent money....hertz has a new spl compennt set...capable of high spl ....from a comp...lol.... |
or what i would do is double up on the speakers...run them actively...and use a headunit like the 9887 and set it to 3 way mode...then you can have a shitload of mids....and some tweets....and good speration between then...cause if i were you and knowing what you have....id do 3-4 sets of mids....like clay from alberta did....if not you wont hear them... |
4 mids across the bottom of the door....2 tweets....and a nice strong 4 channel amp to make them wail.... |
i have k2p2?..the ones with silver center |
