Finally got my car over to ken's place so I can learn a few tricks him. I think I almost scrapped my sides skirts going into his driveway!

He then whips out a paint brush like things and skooled me on how a sponge will probably miss cleaning little things like the emblem, so you use a paint brush.

Took 6 hours...it was most epic. Had white spot burger afterward, which was also pretty epic. Ken did an amazing job polishing my side skirts, not to mention that I learn a lot of new things! One thing that freaks me out when we were detailing was the amount of attention he paid to doing things right...I thought I was anal...lol

Just a little background info on my friend, Ken, who does detailing for fun. This is pretty much his part time job, so you if you are local in the greater Vancouver area, and you want your car detailed, PM me! Just trying to help a friend to spread the word that helped me! I hope this doesn't violate any forum rules, if so, I will take this bit off!

Thanks for viewing!

haha...ya, it was not the best clothing of choice...I wore my mechanic suit over my t shirt and jeans :p. It was really cold outside, so we decided to wash the car in the garage as their was a drainer just out outside. And yes, we used warm water! We used a foam gun, it was fun to use lol

Thanks for all the kind comments. The point of this detail was to get it ready for winter, against all the shit from the roads!

911fanatic 11-25-2009 10:55 PM

Thats what I like to see. Guys out there in November polishing and waxing! The Colli 845 is a great choice for winter protection. How did you guys like the Gilmour Gun? I havent had a chance to test one yet.
