How long does it take to do a reflash? Do i drop the car off and pick it up again or stay and watch the tinkering of computers? Also say I get it flashed, and the dealer clears out my ECU with an updated version, will I need to pay again for the flash?

ADVMOTORS 11-25-2009 01:28 PM

It always depends on the vehicle. Usually takes about an hour to do depending on the flash method. Most cars are straight flashed via OBD but some cars require removal of the ecu. If the dealer ever clears your ecu you do not have to pay again to have the car reflashed.

Jeffield 11-27-2009 02:01 PM

Well Powerchip's website has the price from Powerchip

I would guess it would be the same

But you dont have to ship your ECU to california and back which saves you time and shipping.
